Q&A

Will the insulation layer fall off or fail after the bearing has been running for a period of time?

TFL adopts the plasma spraying + sealing process. The bonding strength between the coating and the steel substrate exceeds 70 MPa. After 5000 hours of accelerated life testing (including vibration + temperature change + oil immersion), the coating has no peeling or cracks, and the insulation resistance attenuation is less than 10%.

Can insulated bearings use ordinary lithium-based grease, or must special grease be used?

Ordinary high-quality lithium-based grease or polyurea grease can be used, but it is strongly recommended to use low-resistance or static-conductive lubricants, which can further reduce shaft voltage and extend bearing life by 1.5–2 times.
