Q&A

How to perform insulation resistance testing on electrically insulated bearings?

Using a megohmmeter or insulation resistance tester, apply a DC voltage of 500–1000V at room temperature to measure the resistance between the outer and inner rings. The standard resistance for TFL products is 50–200MΩ. It is recommended to retest during annual maintenance. If the resistance falls below 10MΩ, replacement may be necessary to prevent the risk of electrolytic corrosion.
