Features of 6313/C3VL0241

Common Applications of Electrically Insulated Bearings

TFL insulated bearings are widely used in VFD motors, generators, pumps, fans, and wind turbine systems. The insulation coating blocks shaft current paths to minimize electrical erosion, making them ideal for high-voltage and variable-speed operations. Our bearings ensure stable performance in humid and vibratory conditions, extending overall system life.

General Process VFD Motors

TFL 6313/C3VL0241 is the standard replacement for the Drive End (DE) bearing of Siemens Simotics SD (1LE1) or ABB M3BP motors (IEC Frame size 225). Since these motors use standard C3 clearance, this TFL model ensures perfect dimensional compatibility without the need for custom fitting. The 63-series design handles the belt tension or coupling loads typical in these frame sizes.
The VL0241 coating protects the motor from common VFD-induced currents, providing a cost-effective “drop-in” solution to replace expensive SKF INSOCOAT bearings during routine motor overhauls.

Pulp & Paper Process Pumps

Suitable for electric motors driving Sulzer AHLSTAR or Andritz ACP series process pumps used in paper mills. These pumps operate continuously under heavy radial loads, making the robust 63-series geometry of the 6313 essential compared to lighter bearings.
As paper production relies heavily on VFDs for flow control, stray currents are a major threat. TFL’s insulated bearing prevents lubricant degradation caused by micro-arcing, reducing unscheduled downtime in these high-cost production lines.

Tunnel & Mining Ventilation Fans

Designed for VFD-driven motors in ventilation systems, such as those found in axial fans.
The C3 clearance accommodates the normal operating temperature rise of the motor, while the 65mm bore fits standard medium-duty fan motors.
TFL’s reliable insulation performance (breakdown voltage >1000V) effectively blocks the circulating currents generated by long cable runs and variable frequency drives, matching the lifespan expectations of FAG J20AA bearings at a more competitive price point.

Q&A

Has TFL 6313/C3VL0241 passed international certification?

Absolutely yes! TFL's insulated bearing complies with ISO 9001, ROHS and REACH standards, and can provide detailed technical testing reports.

Can insulated bearings use ordinary lithium-based grease, or must they use special grease?

Ordinary high-quality lithium-based grease or polyurea grease can be used, but it is strongly recommended to use low-resistance or electrostatically conductive greases, which can further reduce shaft voltage and extend bearing life by 1.5–2 times.
