Q&A

Does the outer-ring ceramic coating of the 6326M/C3VL0241 alter its outside diameter tolerance? Do I need to adjust the housing bore tolerance (such as H7 or M7) during installation?

No adjustments are needed. Before plasma spraying, TFL pre-grinds the outer-ring steel substrate to a reduced diameter. The finished coated and ground outer cylindrical surface dimensions and geometric tolerances (including roundness and taper) strictly comply with ISO standard bearing specifications. Therefore, the housing bore can still be machined to the originally designed standard tolerances (such as H7, M7, or JS7) without any dimensional adjustments, ensuring 100% direct interchangeability.

In my high-power VFD motor, why is the 6326M/C3VL0241 insulated bearing usually only installed at the Non-Drive End (NDE)? Is it necessary to also replace the Drive End (DE) bearing with an insulated one?
